Just like motorcycles, websites eventually reach the end of their lifespan and need a complete overhaul. That's exactly what happened with the Automotodrom Brno website—a full redesign and rebuild from the ground up.
A reliable content management system
Automotodrom isn't just about the Brno Grand Prix — it hosts riding schools, races, public track days, and a range of other events that change frequently. The website structure had to reflect this so users wouldn't get lost along the way. We made UX changes based on testing with the target audience.
A major challenge was handling a huge number of unique page types, designing restricted sections for journalists and track marshals, and at the same time creating a pleasant content management environment. The developers nailed it — the result is a clean CMS, an interactive map, and an event calendar.
Time for a redesign
We gave a fresh look not only to the website but also to the typography as a key element of the visual identity. Both the designer and the client felt the need for change, so it was a perfect match. The designers worked with the classic combination of black and white complemented by aggressive red — a perfect fit for the racing atmosphere. The new typeface is more modern, more geometric, and perfectly captures the bold character of the brand.
In a nutshell, at the end of nearly six months of work stands a modern, well-organized, and fast website.
